What You'll Do:
- Applying and removing dressings, removing sutures/staples, applying and removing casts and splints.
- Exhibiting aseptic techniques in dressing change, removal of sutures or staples.
- Responsible for assembling, maintaining, and adjusting orthopedic devices and equipment such as various braces of their specialty.
- Instructing patients in the proper care of casts, dressings, braces, and other support devices as necessary for the individual's treatment.
- Entering charges, required patient information, and other data into the computer in an accurate and timely manner according to departmental guidelines.
What Your Qualifications Should Be:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or EMT/Paramedic experience
