Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and manage the overall daily operations of a designated shift in the Slots department.
- Support, administer, and manage operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives.
- Create effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving guest satisfaction.
- Assist in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensure compliance with departmental budget initiatives; report budget concerns to manager.
- Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs.
- Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise.
- Ensure efficiency of slot machines and related gaming equipment during assigned shift.
- Provide authorizing/verifying signature for jackpot payments, when applicable, in accordance with established procedures.
- Effectively handle customer concerns and requests; make final decisions regarding service recovery on assigned shift.
- Work closely with manager to implement and oversee overall strategies for engagement, customer service, comp ability, games layout and mix, revenue growth, and expense management to maximize profitability.
- Maintain and process all paperwork, logs, schedules, and communication pertaining to the Slots department.
- Engage all team members on assigned shift by addressing and managing team member feedback, suggestions, complaints, and grievances.
- Ensure the overall integrity of daily operations on assigned shift.
- Understand and adhere to all bargaining unit agreements (where applicable).
- Ensure regulatory compliance within area of authority and report potential issues to management.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or minimum five (5) years of experience in a comparable Slots leadership position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Slots Operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and knowledge of Slots operating systems.
- Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs dictate.

Pay
Starting at $22.84 per hour, based on experience.
