Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage staff in the Facilities department.
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure property cleanliness, attractiveness, and functionality.
- Manage grounds crew and maintain property grounds.
- Manage landscaping activities as required.
- Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Develop, implement, and manage operational goals.
- Create effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs and meeting staffing objectives.
- Assist in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations.
- Makes recommendations or final decisions on various maintenance and construction projects.
- Ensure OSHA standards are followed within the department.
- Inspect projects after completion for satisfactory results.
- Support, promote, and demonstrate superior customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior leadership experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Carpentry trades; knowledge of generators, fire pumps, and electrical switchgears (trade license preferred).
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Previous experience with all aspects of maintenance and engineering (especially electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and equipment maintenance).
- Strong ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Supervisory responsibilities include overseeing staff development and training programs, managing rewards and recognition programs, evaluating team member performance, making recommendations for staffing, planning, assigning, and directing work schedules, determining work procedures and expedite workflow, managing employee performance, including disciplining, coaching, and counseling.
Qualifications
- Must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
- Regularly required to stand and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently required to reach with hands/arms and to talk or hear.
- Must regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, kneel, stack, and balance while working in varying environments, including confined spaces.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and electrical shock risk. Possible exposure to unrestricted second-hand tobacco smoke.

$66,000 annually, with bonus potential.
