Casino Cage Cashier (On-Call)

About the role

A Cage Cashier is responsible for assisting customers in the exchange of casino chips, slot vouchers, and other instruments for U.S. currency. This role also assists in payout of jackpots and manages credit applications.

Responsibilities

• Control and accounting of transactions for the cage window, main bank, chip bank, and check bank.
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Maintain compliance with the incompatibility rule to ensure the integrity of the casino finance operation and adhere to the approved Secondary Program as stated in the Internal Controls.
• Perform guest and in-house monetary transactions.
• Comply with New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJ DGE) regulations, IRS Currency Transaction reporting laws, and departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties delegated by departmental management (e.g., shredding, obtaining supplies, organizing).
• Balance and issue impress bank to Floor Attendants, Food and Beverage, and Hotel employees.
• Report and log all Title 31 transactions.
• Responsible for job functions described in the NJAC Admin Code and Golden Nugget Atlantic City Controls pertaining to general cashiers, slot cashiers, and chip persons.
• Perform duties associated with the preparation and verification of a casino file as described in J.A.C. 19:45-1.27.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of cash handling experience; six months of cage cashier experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer terminal and communicate with the public in a clear and friendly manner.
• Solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn additional areas and demonstrate a positive, team-player attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, hands-on environment.
• Must be able to obtain a valid Casino Employee Registrant License.
• Flexibility of shift and hours is required.

Pay

USD $17.00 per hour. This is a tipped position.
