About the role

Join our team as a Cashier and become a key player in providing exceptional customer service both in‑person and over the phone. Your precision and effective communication skills will create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Weekend availability, prior experience, fast learning ability, ability to work well under pressure, and good teamwork skills are essential. Must be 21 + years old; weekends are required and open availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of the food, drink, and specials menus.
• Accurately take, ring in, and serve orders to customers’ specifications.
• Use the POS system efficiently.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with products and services.
• Conduct all monetary transactions with attention to detail.
• Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly.
• Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all persons in the restaurant.
• Complete all opening, closing, and side duties.
• Work as a team with fellow co‑workers, treating each other with kindness and respect.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Current TAPS Card.
• Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card.
• Previous serving or bartending experience is preferred but not required.

Skills & Abilities

• Stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks.
• Work in noisy, fast‑paced environments with distracting conditions.
• Lift and carry 30 + lb.
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
• Bend, reach, stoop, and move quickly.
• Work in close proximity to coworkers in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverage terminology.
