CASHIER SUPERVISOR

About the role

The Sup. Cashier is accountable for cash and electronic transactions. They are responsible for accepting accountability for cash transactions, training new associates on Point of Sale (POS) systems, counting down cash drawers, checking in with cashiers, and ensuring quality service, customer satisfaction, clean facility areas, and a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Accept accountability for cash transactions
• Affirm all transactions are accounted for correctly
• Train new associates on Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Count down cash drawer with previous shift lead present to ensure accurate counts and reporting
• Check in with cashiers, no less than once an hour, for drops and change needs
• Provide customer service and information to patrons and prep for next shift, including money audits, supply checks, and verifying the cashier has all needed paperwork to complete their duties

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided
