About the role

Sales Associates keep the store clean, inviting, and running smoothly for every customer. They handle registers, maintain safety and cleanliness, and provide friendly service.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and operate the register accurately and quickly.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while ensuring age verification and legal compliance.
• Offer friendly service and upsell customers to increase sales.
• Deep clean high‑use restrooms.
• Wipe down and sanitize gas pump nozzles, screens, and water buckets.
• Pick up litter and trash from the floor and lot area.
• Take out trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh and full.
• Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways to keep the store organized.
• Cross‑train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and step in to help wherever needed.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Open availability; must be able to work weekends, holidays, and the 2nd shift (3 pm – 11:30 pm).
• Willingness to work hard, stay on feet for most of the shift, and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• Physical ability to frequently lift 10 lb and occasionally lift up to 50 lb.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Friendly, personable demeanor with strong customer‑service orientation.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Adaptable and flexible in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous retail or customer‑service experience is a plus but not required.

Pay

Starting at $12.00 per hour (part‑time). Actual starting pay may vary based on experience, skills, and shift.

Schedule

Flexible schedules available for full‑time and part‑time. Primary shift is 2nd shift, 3 pm – 11:30 pm, with weekend and holiday availability required.
