Cashier | Part-Time | Sevierville Convention Center
Responsibilities
- Cover the cash register sales by entering orders and completing transactions.
- Maintain stock and supply levels and communicate low stock items to the Concessions Stand Manager.
- Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work space, including disposal of garbage and cleaning dishes.
- Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
- Check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry is preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
- The ability to learn to handle cash and operate a cash register and corresponding system is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers, and guests are essential.
About The Venue
The Sevierville Convention Center offers a facility design that caters to the specialized needs of competitive arts, trade and retail shows, meetings, conventions, retreats, seminars, banquets, receptions, and holiday parties. The ballroom area can accommodate up to 1500 people, and the two exhibit halls total 107,562 square feet of function space. The center is located on Winfield Dunn Parkway in Sevierville, Tennessee, and is accessible from I-40, exit 407 on TN State Route 66 at traffic signal number 17.4. The center is situated on a hilltop with stunning views of the Smoky Mountains and the Sevierville Golf Club, providing great accessibility for groups of all sizes and easy access to the entire Smoky Mountain area. The community surrounding the Sevierville Convention Center is renowned for its retail shopping, dining, entertainment venues, and lodging accommodations.
Pay
This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00 to $18.00 and is tip eligible.
Schedule
This position will remain open until October 9, 2026.
