Basic Function and Responsibility
- Calculate and collect payments using a register
- Set up and stock food items in the service area
- Clean the service area and dining room as needed
- Project a friendly, helpful attitude towards customers
- Participate in BC’s annual PCI compliance training and Data Security
- Perform cashier duties such as ringing in sales and collecting payment
- Log out the register, count money, and give reports to supervisors
- Assist in setting up condiments, juices, bread, and rolls, coffee stations, flatware, and tray stations
- Check cash drawer and register before starting work
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Helps set up serving area, restocks, and cleans equipment, dining room tables, and chairs
- Projects a friendly, helpful attitude towards customers
- Works in a fast-paced operation with a diverse staff
- Has good interpersonal skills
- Lifts moderately heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, on an on-going basis
Requirements

Position Details
- Department: BCDS Middle Campus Mini Mart
- Position: Cashier/Line - 35 hours
- Grade: A
- Hiring Range: $24.96/hr to $26.27/hr. Pay rate commensurate with relevant experience
Supervision
- Reports to General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Assistant Managers
- May assist in monitoring other cashiers or student employees
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma preferred
- Experience: Previous experience is helpful but not necessary
- Skills: Must be able to read and write English, effectively work in a fast-paced operation with a diverse staff, and have good interpersonal skills
- Physical Abilities: Must be able to lift moderately heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, on an ongoing basis
