CASHIER (FULL TIME)

About the role

Fresh Ideas is seeking immediate full-time CASHIER positions at Fort Lewis College, located at 1000 Rim Drive, Durango, CO 81301. Online applications are accepted only. Schedules are full-time, Monday through Friday with variable morning and evening hours. Previous cashiering experience is preferred. The fixed pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Performs cashiering duties, including making cash transactions, verifying cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports.
• Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service, and dining room facilities.
• Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Accepts various forms of payment and issues receipts to customers.
• Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Ensures cash drawer compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Replenishes condiments, coffee, other beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
• Keeps pastry case stocked.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
• Observes customer purchases and differentiates between standard portions.
• Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts.
• May perform general food service work.

Qualifications

Previous cashiering experience is preferred.
