CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL & PART TIME)

About the role

Operates the Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and keeps the coffee and cashier stations clean. This position is with Bon Appétit Management Company, which operates more than 1,000 cafés around the country for corporations, universities, and museums, as well as a few dozen public restaurants. The company leads the industry in socially and environmentally responsible sourcing and cooks everything from scratch using fresh, local ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, and help prepare catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Cashier according to established procedures, maintaining cash accuracy with receipts.
• Make deposits at the end of each shift.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up the serving line, ensuring temperatures are taken, recorded, and within acceptable ranges; notify cooks if food temperatures are not within acceptable limits.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Set up items for purchase on a daily basis.
• Keep refrigerator stocked and product rotated using the first-in, first-out rule.
• Stock pantries with correct par levels of food items on a daily basis.
• Record replenished amounts on the floor stock form for each unit.
• Record refrigerator temperatures on the floor stock form daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous fast food experience is preferred.
• Must be available for full or part-time scheduling.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, with shifts of 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Pay

$13.00 to $14.00 per hour.
