About the role

The Cashier/Expo at SmokeShack, located in the San Antonio International Airport, is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by preparing high-quality beverages, running food, taking orders, and providing timely, accurate, and friendly service for each guest.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the highest quality beverages, runs food, takes orders, and provides timely, accurate, and friendly service for each guest.
• Creates and delivers first-class experiences for the traveling public in an on-trend national brand or an iconic concept from the local community.
• Greet and acknowledge guests, take drink and food orders, provide information about menu items, and look for opportunities for additional sales.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, check guests' identification to verify their legal drinking age, prepare and serve a wide variety of craft cocktails, beer, and wines, and food.
• Ensure accuracy in processing transactions through the point-of-sale system, record cash, credit, and debit transactions correctly.
• Respond appropriately to customer concerns, follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication, and deal with intoxicated guests.
• Ensure a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked bar, stock and clean glassware through the operation and maintenance of the glass washer and sanitizer.
• Perform opening and closing side work as directed.

Requirements

Must have a thorough knowledge of menu offerings, eye for detail, proper use of drink mixing tools and techniques, preparation of correct garnishes and fruit for cocktails, accuracy in processing transactions, response to customer concerns, following alcohol awareness procedures, and maintaining a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked bar.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
