Cashier - Evenings

About the role

This position is responsible for all cash handling processes within the Cafeteria while performing the duties of cashier. This includes the task of accounting for all monies received and dispensed from the cash drawer and maintaining the established cash par levels in the assigned bank. This position also includes active participation in the workflow in the Nutrition Service Department including but not limited to simple preparation, delivery, and/or service of food, meals, snacks, supplements, etc. to customers. Workflow includes setup, clean-up, and sanitation of work areas, dishes, wares, and/or equipment, inventory control, product rotation, labeling, and safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Accounting for all monies received and dispensed from the cash drawer
• Maintain established cash par levels in the assigned bank
• Participate in the workflow in the Nutrition Service Department
• Simple preparation, delivery, and/or service of food, meals, snacks, supplements, etc. to customers
• Setup, clean-up, and sanitation of work areas, dishes, wares, and/or equipment
• Inventory control, product rotation, labeling, and safe food handling practices
• Operations when Manager and work leaders are not available

Requirements

• Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
• Food Handlers Permit - Various
