Cashier Checker FT - 6612

Duties

• Receives cash or credit cards in payment for merchandise and gives change as registered.
• Maintains record of sales.
• Turns in sales records, money, customer checks or charge slips and accounts for all monies and items sold at the end of shift.
• Provides information concerning availability of goods sold, prices, and condition of merchandise.
• Keeps records of customer traffic during the day and identifies slow- or fast-moving items and trends in customer comments or complaints.
• May prepare requisitions for items sold; ensures that proper stock levels are maintained; secures stock at close of business.
• Cleans counter of serving area.

Qualifications Required

• Ability to operate a cash register.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide at level necessary to complete required reports.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
