Cashier (Barista Duties)
About the role
The University of Southern California (USC) Hospitality team is seeking candidates for Cashier (Barista Duties) positions. USC Hospitality serves thousands of students, athletes, faculty, staff, and visitors across both campuses, offering a range of dining options from fine dining restaurants to residential dining.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, and memorable, customer service to faculty, staff, students, and guests.
- Perform sales transactions using department standards and policies.
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities.
- Aid in kitchen sanitation program.
- Comply with standard food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Adhere to department service standards and health, safety, and University rules and regulations.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required.
- Be ready to work at the time your shift starts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- 6 months - 1 year of experience.
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Demonstrated cash handling experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced retail or quick service restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of food sanitation procedures.
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Effective communication in English.
- Presents oneself professionally in a higher education environment.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $27.00.
