Cashier

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Cashier to provide friendly, efficient, and accurate customer service while supporting the daily operations of our Front-End team.

Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases, handle cash and electronic payments.
• Assist with bagging and answer basic customer questions.
• Maintain the checkout area clean and organized.
• Help create a positive and welcoming experience for every customer.
• Verify items, quantities, prices, and transactions carefully while maintaining accuracy.
• Maintain registers, counters, checkout stations, and surrounding Front-End areas clean and ready for customers.
• Work efficiently with a sense of urgency while maintaining a positive and professional attitude during busy periods.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, restocking, and other Front-End duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to work full-time rotating shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Previous experience as a Cashier, Retail Cashier, Grocery Cashier, Supermarket Cashier, Front-End Associate, Customer Service Associate, or similar retail position preferred.
• Ability to provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to accurately process cash, credit card, debit card, and other approved customer payments using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Able to stand and remain active for extended periods while performing the duties required for the position.
• Responsible, reliable, punctual, and able to follow established cash-handling and operational procedures.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
