Cashier

About the role

We are hiring cashiers for Nando’s. Both full‑time and part‑time hours are available. The cashier is the smiling face at the register, guiding the Nando’s experience, managing transactions, and helping guests select menu items. The role offers a fun, casual work environment that feels like being part of a family.

Responsibilities

• Accurately manage cash and credit‑card transactions.
• Balance the register at the end of each shift.
• Serve as a menu expert, guiding customer selections and entering orders correctly.
• Work quickly and efficiently while providing warm, gracious service.
• Collaborate with the team to exceed guests’ expectations and deliver the Nando’s experience.

Minimum Requirements and Expectations

• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Commitment to quality service and knowledge of food and beverage items.
• Understanding of safety, sanitation, and food‑handling procedures.
• Basic English language proficiency and professional communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to independently lift up to 15 lb for an extended period.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout the shift.
• Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8‑10 hours per day.
• Hand‑eye coordination.
• Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting overhead.
• Ability to climb stairs in multi‑level restaurants.

Pay

Competitive base wage plus an average of $3‑$4 per hour in tips on weekdays and $4‑$6 per hour in tips on weekends.
