Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a warm and welcoming attitude
• Accurately ring up purchases using computerized registers
• Bag groceries with care, keeping customer preferences in mind
• Memorize product codes for produce and bulk items
• Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift
• Assist with store upkeep when not checking out customers (cleaning, stocking, facing shelves)
• Help customers locate products and answer questions
• Take and follow up on special orders with department managers
• Ensure price accuracy and report discrepancies on shelf tags
• Support overall store safety, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Lead Cashier

Requirements

Experience & Skills: Previous customer service experience (cashiering is a plus); Basic math skills and attention to detail; Comfortable using computerized register systems; Clear communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Customer Focus & Abilities: Friendly, dependable, and approachable attitude; Able to multitask and stay accurate in a busy environment; Willing to jump in and support your team wherever needed; Eager to learn product knowledge and assist customers confidently.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements: Stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift); Frequent use of touchscreen registers and scanners; Push/pull products across the scanner and handle cash; Lift up to 50 lbs., bend, squat, reach overhead, and climb ladders; Answer phones and engage with customers face-to-face.

Pay

Hourly Pay: $16.90 – $19.80
