Cashier position focused on financial record-keeping, deposit operations, and business development. Reports to the President and Board, with close collaboration across all departments and branch associates.
Responsibilities
- Classify, record, verify, and maintain numerical data for financial records.
- Oversee deposit, financial control, and investment operations.
- Develop new business and maintain ongoing relationships with business deposit customers.
- Serve as board secretary; prepare and present financial reports at monthly board meetings.
- Confirm the general ledger is balanced daily.
- Monitor daily bank profitability and liquidity/cash position.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and tax reviews; oversee accounts payable.
- Provide input and recommendations for new products and services.
- Identify and assess customer needs; develop proposals for products and services.
- Perform quarterly cash and employee audits.
- Build networking relationships in the community to enhance business and referral opportunities.
- Adhere to regulatory and federal banking requirements (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act).
- Complete and submit quarterly federal call reports and annual Summary of Deposits report.
- Conduct annual vendor management analysis and business continuity plan updates.
- Submit quarterly Interest Rate Risk Monitoring reports.
- Prepare and communicate monthly employee compensation incentive programs.
- Lead and complete the annual budget.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Sales, or related field.
- 4-6 years’ experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Problem solving and analysis.
- Training techniques and familiarity with financial institution products.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
- Negotiation, strategic thinking, conflict resolution, and motivational skills.
- Sales abilities.
