Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional and welcoming attitude at work and practice Company service principles.
  • Greet all guests when they enter the restaurant.
  • Communicate with customers regarding menu offerings, limited time offers and daily specials.
  • Pack and sort to-go orders.
  • Enter food and beverage orders into the POS system.
  • Properly process customers’ payments and provide accurate change.
  • Clean and maintain cashier area before, after and throughout shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to speak, write and understand simple instructions in English.
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certified.
  • Must have a Food Handler Certificate.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Physical Requirements

  • Stands and walks on uneven, slippery, and/or wet surface for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Speaks and listens in-person to staff and customers for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Speaks through radio and listens through earpiece for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Clearly observes customers in the dining room from up to 100 feet.
  • Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls up to 25 pounds, and reaches overhead.
  • Routinely carries full service tray.
  • Performs moderately strenuous activity to perform duties for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Routinely tolerates cleaning solutions.

Working Environment

  • Moderate noise, fast pace, high customer traffic and ability to regularly tolerate cleaning solutions.
