Cashier

About the role

Goodwill Industries of Eastern North Carolina, Inc. is seeking a full-time cashier to operate the cash register, sort clothing, assist customers and donors, and work flexible hours including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register to process transactions accurately.
• Sort donated clothing and other items according to Goodwill's sorting standards.
• Assist customers and donors with inquiries and provide information about services and products.
• Ensure a welcoming and respectful environment for all visitors.
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to Goodwill's policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, and weekends.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to handle money and make change accurately.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.

Benefits

Schedule

35 hours per week, flexible including days, nights, and weekends.
