About the role
Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to serving its communities and providing exceptional service and value. We operate over 40 full-service supermarkets across Wisconsin. This role involves engaging with guests, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Responsibilities
- Engage with guests through friendly conversations and ensure every guest feels welcome and valued.
- Scan grocery items, process sales, and handle monetary transactions with care.
- Bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination in good condition.
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively.
- Keep your register station neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
- Honor commitments by being regular, timely, and notifying a replacement for occasional absences.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding retail sales and service.
- Retail Experience: Ability to process information and merchandise transactions and handle cash and media at registers.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with both customers and retail associate team members.
- Accuracy: Ability to read, count, and write accurately to ensure precise transactions.
- Equipment Operation: Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time, walk in the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly. Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment. Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Work Schedule
The Cashier position is flexible, offering both part-time and full-time opportunities. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on your availability.
