About the role

Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate over 40 full-service supermarkets statewide. This role involves engaging with guests, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked store.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests through friendly conversations and eye contact.
• Scan groceries, process sales, and handle transactions efficiently.
• Bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination safely.
• Maintain awareness of promotions and assist guests accordingly.
• Keep the register area neat and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Communicate guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team.
• Ensure quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
• Honor commitments regarding regular attendance and availability for shifts.

Requirements

• Customer Service Skills: Engaging with guests and providing excellent retail service.
• Retail Experience: Processing information and merchandise transactions, handling cash and media at registers.
• Communication: Effective communication with both customers and retail associates.
• Accuracy: Reading, counting, and writing accurately to ensure precise transactions.
• Equipment Operation: Operating all necessary equipment to perform the job.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The associate must be able to stand for long periods, walk around the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly. Fine finger and broad manual dexterity, along with eye-hand-foot coordination, are required to operate equipment. The position requires working varied hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Schedule

The Cashier position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, with schedules ranging from mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on availability.
