About the role
Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate over 40 full-service supermarkets across Wisconsin. This role involves engaging with guests, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked register.
Responsibilities
- Engage with guests through friendly conversations and eye contact.
- Scan groceries, process sales, and handle transactions with care.
- Bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination in good condition.
- Maintain awareness of promotions and assist guests effectively.
- Keep the register station neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed.
- Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
- Honor commitments regarding regular attendance and notice for absences.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates should have:
- Customer Service Skills: Engaging with guests and providing outstanding retail sales and service.
- Retail Experience: Processing information and merchandise transactions and handling cash and media at registers.
- Communication: Effective communication with both customers and retail associate team members.
- Accuracy: Reading, counting, and writing accurately to ensure precise transactions.
- Equipment Operation: Operating all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods, walk in the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly. Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment. Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Work Schedule
The Cashier position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on your availability.
