About the role
Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate over 40 full-service supermarkets across Wisconsin. This role involves engaging with guests, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked register.
Responsibilities
- Engage with guests through friendly conversations and eye contact.
- Scan groceries, process sales, and handle transactions with care.
- Bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination in good condition.
- Maintain awareness of promotions and assist guests effectively.
- Keep the register station neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed.
- Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
- Honor commitments by being punctual and reliable.
Requirements
- Customer Service Skills: Engaging with guests and providing excellent retail service.
- Retail Experience: Processing information and merchandise transactions, handling cash and media at registers.
- Communication: Effective communication with both customers and retail associates.
- Accuracy: Reading, counting, and writing accurately to ensure precise transactions.
- Equipment Operation: Operating all necessary equipment to perform the job.
- Physical Demands: Standing for long periods, walking in the store, bending, stooping, and kneeling regularly.
- Work Schedule: Flexible, offering part-time and full-time opportunities with varied hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with point-of-sale systems.

Weekly Pay & Premium Pay: Hourly associates are paid weekly, with a $1 premium per hour on Sundays and select holidays. Full-time associates receive time and a half on Sundays and select holidays.
