About the role

Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate over 40 full-service supermarkets statewide. This role involves engaging with guests, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked register.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests through friendly conversations and eye contact.
• Scan groceries, process sales, and handle transactions efficiently.
• Bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination safely.
• Maintain awareness of promotions and assist guests accordingly.
• Keep the register station neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
• Relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team for satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to quality and quantity standards, especially during peak times.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
• Honor commitments regarding regular attendance and notice for absences.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

• Customer Service Skills: Engaging with guests and providing outstanding retail service.
• Retail Experience: Processing information and merchandise transactions, handling cash and media at registers.
• Communication: Effective communication with both customers and retail associates.
• Accuracy: Reading, counting, and writing accurately to ensure precise transactions.
• Equipment Operation: Operating all necessary equipment to perform the job.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The associate must be able to stand for long periods, walk in the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly. Fine finger and broad manual dexterity, along with eye-hand-foot coordination, are required to operate equipment. The associate must also lift and move merchandise and fixtures throughout the store.

Work Schedule

The Cashier position offers flexible part-time and full-time opportunities, with schedules including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on availability.
