Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional dining experience to every customer by taking orders, making recommendations, processing payments, and serving food or beverages at the counter or table.
• Prepare bills for food and accept payment or make change.
• Balance receipts and payments in cash registers.
• Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle cash and card transactions.
• Make sales referrals and introduce new menu items.
• Run foods and drinks to guests’ tables.
• Take customers’ orders over the telephone.
• Fill in for fellow employees to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations.
• Perform other duties in food and final order preparation, including preparing beverages and arranging food items.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively with managers and kitchen personnel.
• Proven working experience as a retail cashier or in sales.
• Customer satisfaction-oriented.
• Attention to detail and basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 20 pounds.
• Work in a standing position for long periods (up to 4-5 hours).
