About the role
Home Emporium in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a full-time Cashier with a minimum of one year of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide fast, friendly and accurate service by processing Checkout and/or Return transactions.
- Proactively seek product/project knowledge to provide customers with information and maximize the selling opportunity.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Work with Cashiers as a Cashier Team Lead, expediting price and quantity checks, processing and authorizing returns, verifying markdowns, and monitoring the front-end of the store to reduce shrinkage.
- Provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in the supervision, coaching and training of new Cashiers.
- Utilize available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers.
Qualifications
The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Head Cashier experience.
