About the role

Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments, issuing receipts, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate.

Responsibilities

• Operating cash register to cash out guests
• Answering phone, greeting customers, and keeping track of seat availability in restaurants
• Assisting with bussing and cleaning tables
• Performing assigned duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures
• Ensuring the safety and security of employees and customers
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Ability to organize and be creative
• Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food
• Ability to use a cash register, credit card machine, point of sale machine, restaurant bar equipment
• Ability to read simple instructions
• Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws, health regulations, and PPE (Personal Property Equipment)
• Ability to communicate in English; fluency in Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, or other Asian language is a plus

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• One (1) year food service experience (preferred)
• Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license
