Cash Receipts & Billing Specialist

What You'll Do

• Process daily cash receipts, including checks, ACH payments, and credit card payments through various platforms.
• Process invoices through email and electronic billing websites, as well as client trust payments and transfers between bank accounts.
• Reconcile bank deposits and customer accounts to ensure the accurate and timely application of funds.
• Investigate remittances to support the accurate application of payments to customer accounts and research and resolve payment discrepancies, including short payments or overpayments.
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers to address cash application issues and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Maintain detailed records of daily cash receipts, assist with financial reviews, and perform regular reviews of cash receipts processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the complete and efficient operation of the department.

What We're Looking For

• 1-2 years of experience in a cash receipts role.
• Knowledge or familiarity of billing procedures.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
• Able to deal professionally and effectively with both clients and attorneys.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
