Cash Posting Analyst II

About the role

The Cash Accounting Analyst II is a specialized treasury role that focuses on monitoring and reporting cash flow and control functions across the AtlantiCare organization. This position requires a strong understanding of organizational structure and the ability to effectively achieve department goals within a large organization. Duties include cash posting, complex reconciliation, balance forecasting, reporting, reviewing banking positions, and process automation and documentation. The role involves designing and implementing treasury functions to enhance compliance with internal controls and improve operational efficiencies. A "customer-focused" mindset, strong process management, and communication skills are essential to define, distribute, coach, and review complex cash processes with organizational stakeholders.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report cash flow and control functions
• Perform cash posting and complex reconciliations
• Balance forecasting and reporting
• Review banking positions
• Automate and document treasury processes
• Design and implement treasury functions to enhance compliance and operational efficiencies
• Define, distribute, coach, and review complex cash processes with stakeholders
• Provide quality customer service and participate in performance improvement efforts

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or 15 years of relevant accounting experience in a medium to large-size company (preferably Healthcare). Incumbents entering this role after December 2020 must have an Associate’s degree.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting concepts
• Extensive computer experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge of Excel
• Ability to perform department-specific competencies as listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool

Work Environment

• Potential exposure to hazards and risks of a hospital environment, including infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury
• Primarily desk and computer work with frequent standing, walking, and reaching
