About the Role
The Cash/Player Services Representative at The Rose Gaming Resort performs all guest transactions, serves as a key contact for Players Card database information, and provides retail services in the gift shop. This role is essential for delivering next-level guest service and maintaining the integrity of financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Provides exceptional guest service to internal and external guests, demonstrating the #AddLife culture in all interactions.
- Performs verifications on loose and bundled money, coin transactions, and check cashing.
- Processes jackpots, cashes checks, redeems valid gaming vouchers and chips for cash, and handles other transaction types.
- Safeguards company assets by adhering to all player services policies, state regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Maintains accountability for all funds entrusted during an assigned shift and balances all money transactions and paperwork.
- Monitors for fraud, forged/counterfeit currency, vouchers, or chips.
- Balances all funds under responsibility and prepares reconciliation reports.
- Ensures the security of cash inventory at all times.
- Identifies and gathers information on valuable guests through observation, analysis, and personal contact.
- Executes guest loyalty programs, relationships, and direct marketing initiatives.
- Accurately performs data entry tasks associated with Players Club memberships and updates database files as needed.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of special events, promotions, advertising campaigns, and community events.
- Conducts informal surveys and queries to gather guest feedback.
- Becomes an expert in the player tracking system software and follows all standard operating and cash handling procedures.
- Maintains inventory and neat presentation of retail merchandise, including stocking duties.
- Issues free play (up to authorized limit) and food coupons to guests.
- Resolves guest problems within the scope of authority and escalates issues beyond scope to a supervisor.
- Keeps the supervisor informed of relevant activities and performs other duties as assigned.
- Attends required training sessions and obtains/retains necessary licenses.
- Ensures compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies, including those related to problem gaming and underage gambling.
- Reports any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Banking and guest service experience preferred.
- Proficiency with menu-driven programs; Word and Excel preferred.
- Ability to formulate and communicate ideas effectively.
- Must obtain and retain a Virginia Racing Commission License.
Pay
$16.50 per hour.
