Cash Application Specialist

About the role

The Cash Application Specialist supports the accurate and timely application of cash receipts while maintaining the integrity of accounts receivable processes. This role ensures payments are applied correctly, deductions are managed properly, and financial records remain accurate.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash postings, posting lockbox and other payments to customer accounts within the ERP system
• Support deduction processing, collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure financial accuracy and visibility
• Create and process credit memos, supporting resolution of deductions and account adjustments
• Process daily scrap billing, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing
• Maintain high levels of data accuracy, ensuring all transactions are entered correctly and consistently
• Communicate effectively across teams, partnering with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of experience working in a similar role
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to complete assigned tasks timely

Qualifications

• Appreciation for deadlines

Skills

• Experience with an integrated ERP system and Microsoft Excel preferred
• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable/Accounting field preferred
