Cash Application Analyst
About the role
We are seeking a Cash Application Analyst for our Accounts Receivable department in Jericho, NY. The ideal candidate will assist the department manager and supervisors with daily operations, including reviewing and analyzing high-volume tenant accounts, monitoring building-level cash, responding to internal and external cash receipt inquiries, participating in system enhancement testing, reconciling reports, and performing other assigned tasks as needed.
This role involves processing checks, cash receipts from lender’s lockboxes, and wire transactions. The position requires frequent interaction with various internal departments and external parties, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze high-volume tenant accounts
- Monitor building-level cash
- Respond to internal and external cash receipt inquiries
- Participate in system enhancement testing
- Reconcile reports
- Process checks, cash receipts from lender’s lockboxes, and wire transactions
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or associate degree, or equivalent relevant experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in functions, formulas, sorting, filtering, pivot tables, and V-lookups
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Working knowledge of cash applications and account reconciliations
- Prior experience with real estate accounting, charges, or billings is a plus
- Prior experience in banking, real estate, finance, or accounting is preferred
- Experience with real estate management software is a plus

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $60,000. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.
