About the role

The Home for Little Wanderers is an established child welfare agency with over 200 years of experience helping vulnerable children and their families. Our programs serve thousands of at-risk youths from birth to age 26, addressing issues such as abuse, neglect, trauma, and disrupted family life.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee individual and family based Case Workers; provide therapeutic services, crisis intervention and case management for defined program.
  • Provide individual and team supervision to Case Workers
  • Provide counseling and therapeutic support to clients
  • Support families to address issues including family communication, parenting skills, substance abuse, domestic violence, self-abusive behavior, and past trauma
  • Cook appropriate resources and services for clients and families
  • Act as an advocate for the client
  • Administer written assessments, summary reports, documentation, treatment planning, and safety planning to appropriate parties in a timely, well-written manner
  • Submit reports, documentation and billing in a timely manner
  • Ensure that documentation meets utilization review and quality assurance standards
  • Continuously communicate with client collaterals and providers of supportive services
  • Facilitate communication between various providers
  • Plan, assess and provide all treatment and clinical interventions in an active co-therapy partnership with collaterals
  • Work as part of interdisciplinary team to provide quality services
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Present client material, consult with supervisor and team members on challenging and difficult client issues
  • Participate in regular individual and group supervision
  • Attend clinical training and safety practice training
  • May be required to carry a mobile device
  • Provide back-up support staff that are on-call on a rotating schedule utilizing an on-call system

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with behavior management systems, treatment planning, crisis intervention, case management and providing individual, group and/or family therapy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Department of Children and Families and other local child and family advocate agencies
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer with the ability to learn new software applications

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer
  • Knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations

Pay

The pay range listed represents the company’s good faith estimate of the salary or wage range for this position at the time of posting, as required under applicable law. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s relevant experience, education, skills, and internal equity relative to other employees in similar roles. Candidates with less directly related experience may be placed toward the lower end of the range, while those with extensive or specialized experience may be placed toward the higher end. Market conditions and budget considerations may also influence final pay decisions.
