Weekend shift: Saturday–Monday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM
Pay: $20.50/hour plus $3.00 shift differential
About the role
Case Picker is responsible for selecting individual cases of product using pre-assigned labels and placing them onto the correct pallet to build club/customer orders. Employees continue adding cases until the pallet is complete, making sure products are stacked safely and securely. Once the pallet is finished, it is wrapped, staged for shipment, and the employee begins building the next order.
Responsibilities
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Report quality variances.
- Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security are maintained.
- Assist in physical inventories.
- Ensure proper stock rotation.
- Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely.
- Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance.
- Perform good housekeeping practices, clean-as-you-go process.
- Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can’t be self-corrected to the leadership team.
- Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
- Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
