The T Building Overview
The T Building is a residential building located in the Jamaica section of Queens, developed and operated by Dunn Development Corp. and NY Health and Hospitals. CAMBA, Inc. provides on-site services at the T Building, managing 75 master leased apartments for chronically homeless single adults diagnosed with SPMI.
Position Overview
The Case Manager reports to the Program Manager and works at the T Building, aiding individuals and families in accessing social service assistance, evaluating tenants, providing referrals, and monitoring progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (e.g., B.A., B.S.W.) and experience working with the seriously and persistently mentally ill (SPMI) population, or equivalent experience.
- Fingerprinting and obtaining Criminal History Checks (CHC) with Justice Center for the Protection of Vulnerable People with Special Needs.
- Ability to maintain fingerprint clearance throughout employment.
- Mandated Reporter responsibilities, including reporting suspected incidents/cases of abuse and neglect to the Vulnerable Persons Central Register (VPCR) Hotline.
- Flexible hours may be needed occasionally.
Compensation and Benefits
$45,000 annually. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with employer match, paid time off, and paid holidays.
Status and Hours
This is a Full-time (35 hours per week) or Part-time (x hours per week) position.
