Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Conducts didactics/educational lectures
- Maintain case records in accordance with Harbor Light standards
- Serve as Case Manager to treatment clients
- Affords assistance to clinical staff with various tasks (e.g., making packets, assisting clients with nonclinical issues, etc.)
- Participates in the review of all clinical issues, activities, and program policies and procedures
- Attends all clinical staff meetings, and team conferences
- Participates in educational courses, seminars, workshops, current literature, and in-service meetings to enhance treatment skills
Qualifications
- Ability to determine needs and work with multi-problem individuals
- Develops rapport, trust, and confidence in client relationships
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational skills
- TB Test and police clearance required
- Authorization to work within The United States
Education/Experience
- A bachelor's degree in social work or an equivalent comparable human services field is required
- Experience in case management preferred
- Experience with mental health and/or substance abuse populations preferred
Computer Skills
- Excellent computer skills required
- Experience using electronic medical records systems preferred
Reasoning Ability
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of The Harbor Light Policies and Procedures
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of The Salvation Army and Harbor Light Mission Statements
Certificates And Licenses
- Must possess MCBAP credential (CADC, CADC-M, CAADC)
- Must have an approved Development Plan within 2 weeks of hire date
- Valid Michigan Chauffeur License and approved by The Salvation Army MVR
