About the role
Tampa Bay Girls Academy - Secure is a group of co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk and max-risk females' youth aged 12-21. Services provided include evidence-based practices for comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth receive psychotherapeutic services such as individual, family, and group counseling.
Responsibilities
- Administer, develop, and facilitate the completion of case plans and treatment programs in accordance with the requests of the placing agency and the needs of each student on your case load.
- Collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan by providing individual counseling and skill development.
- Communicate with families, probation officers, referral agencies, etc. on the progress each youth on your case load.
- Provide an atmosphere supportive of the youth’s needs; monitor and document clinical behaviors and activities.
- Participate and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
Requirements
- A BA/BS in a related field.
- Prior case management experience, including 3 years with youth and/or juvenile placement agencies.
- A desire to work with troubled teens.
- Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
Qualifications
To be considered, candidates should have a BA/BS in a related field and prior case management experience with youth and/or juvenile placement agencies.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with at-risk youth.
