About the role
This position plays a crucial role in supporting students at risk of truancy and enhancing their case management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce student absenteeism
- Conduct home visits and engage with families to address barriers to school attendance
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other community partners to provide comprehensive support services
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of student attendance and case management activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working with youth and families
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
- Knowledge of state and federal laws related to education and child welfare
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
