What Will I Be Doing?
- Ensure all program participants receive necessary services for personal and economic independence.
- Adhere to and enforce program regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Evaluate client progress on short- and long-term goals.
- Develop and maintain a resource network for referrals related to individual needs.
- Collaborate with DSS and other service providers to assist clients in fulfilling their Independent Living Plans (ILPs).
- Assist clients with direct services such as budget formulation, resume preparation, ADL skills, etc.
- Inspect living spaces regularly to assess clients' ADL needs and ensure program compliance.
- Maintain and document proper use of agency resources.
- Evaluate and document physical plant needs of the housing unit and common areas.
- Complete discharge plans with clients.
- Submit all internal and external reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain charts and files in an orderly fashion.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field, Master’s degree in Social Work preferred.
- Two years’ experience working in a related field such as homelessness or housing preferred.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic competency in MS Windows, MS Office, and internet usage.
- Ability to prioritize, make appropriate decisions, and judgment calls.
- Ability to relate to the underserved, homeless, and disabled populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask, be flexible, and maintain attention to details.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Bachelor’s degree: $24.04, Master’s degree: $26.45
Overtime available
Open shifts: [Tuesday - Saturday, 8 am - 4 pm]
Qualifications
- Extensive experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
- Proficiency in English required, bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask, be flexible, and maintain attention to details.
