Responsibilities

  • Ensure all program participants receive services necessary to promote personal and economic independence, including skills required to obtain, maintain, and retain permanent housing.
  • Adhere to and enforce program regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure clients receive quality services that follow program requirements.
  • Assist clients in developing an Independent Living Plan (ILP) by identifying needs and goals.
  • Evaluate client progress on short- and long-term goals.
  • Provide information, referrals, counseling, crisis intervention, direct service, and advocacy services for all clients.
  • Develop and maintain a resource network for referrals related to the needs of individuals in supervised programs.
  • Collaborate with DSS and other service providers to assist clients in fulfilling ILP and program requirements.
  • Assist clients with direct services such as budgeting, resume development, and ADL (Activities of Daily Living) skills.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients.
  • Inspect living spaces regularly to assess clients' ADL needs and program compliance.
  • Document and limit improper use of agency resources by clients (e.g., unit damages, furniture, or appliances).
  • Evaluate, document, and report physical plant needs of housing units and common areas to the direct supervisor.
  • Complete discharge plans with clients.
  • Submit all internal and external reports in a timely and correct manner (e.g., housing logs, unit inspection sheets, progress notes, ILPs, authorization forms).
  • Maintain charts and files in an orderly fashion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field; Master’s degree in Social Work preferred. Extensive experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
  • Two years’ experience working in a related field such as homelessness or housing preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English required. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Basic competency in MS Windows, MS Office, and internet usage.
  • Ability to formulate simple financial budgets.
  • Ability to tour property, walk distances, and climb stairs.
  • Strong reasoning ability to prioritize, make appropriate decisions, and judgment calls.
  • Ability to relate to underserved, homeless, and disabled populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, be highly organized, assume responsibility, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

Pay

Bachelor’s degree: $24.04/hour. Master’s degree: $26.45/hour. Overtime available.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 11 am - 7 pm.
