About the role
The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is hiring Case Manager/Child Safety Specialists in Show Low and Winslow, Arizona. This role involves responding to allegations of child abuse or neglect, conducting interviews, assessing child safety, working with families, coordinating services, preparing reports, attending court hearings, and managing cases.
Responsibilities
- Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect
- Conduct interviews and assess child safety
- Work with families in their homes and in the community
- Coordinate services and develop case plans
- Attend court hearings and prepare professional reports
- Manage cases throughout assigned regions
- Collaborate with courts, providers, and partner agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution (or 4 years as a DCS Case Aide)
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Successful completion of 22 weeks of in-person training program
Qualifications
- Knowledge of counseling, conflict resolution, and intervention techniques
- Understanding of child development, family systems, and trauma-informed practice
- Confidentiality and ethical decision-making skills
- Ability to identify behavioral indicators of abuse/neglect, separation, and loss

Pay
Starting salary is $21.7068 with step increases after training and years of service.
Schedule
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with the possibility of alternative work hours.
