Case Management Consultant

Responsibilities
- Coach an assigned disability claims team to improve case managers’ skills, optimize claims duration, and drive profitability for group disability clients.
- Develop and refine team skills in Outcome Focused Case Management, including appropriate utilization of tools, approaches, and portfolio management.
- Ensure a client-focused approach in coaching, acting as the primary resource for your team while supporting staff in achieving office targets, workload management, difficult cases, and department workflows.
- Help your team prioritize work items to meet client service standards and Sun Life best practice guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve processes, enhancing service excellence, quality, and financial commitments to customers.
- Cultivate excellence in your team to contribute to ongoing business retention and growth.
- Report on emerging trends to address issues and leverage learnings nationally.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Long and Short Term Disability Claims or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Proficient knowledge of group insurance policy and coverage concepts.
- Exceptional case management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent listening and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to deliver constructive feedback in a tactful and sensitive manner to positively influence case managers’ engagement.
- Strong training and coaching skills.

Pay
Base Pay range: $60,000 – $97,000 (varies by work location).
