Description What You'll Do
- Affords assistance to Supervisor with daily clinical activities to maintain smooth and timely operations.
- Prepares clinical charts before the patient's appointment.
- Guarantees ancillary and lab reports are included in the patient chart before their visit.
- Schedules appointments (new patient, follow-up, add-ons, referrals, or tests), follow-up appointments (post-testing, post-surgical, etc.), and cancels canceled appointments as required.
- Schedules follow-up testing based on Physician orders.
- Accurately inputs new patient information into the electronic medical records (EMR) file.
- Updates patient charge sheets to ensure all services, injections, and durable medical equipment (DME) are included.
- Accurately labels and scans documents into the EMR system.
- Fulfills medical records requests on behalf of patients for outside physician offices, insurance companies, worker’s compensation adjustors, etc.
- Maintains and monitors practice buckets on the dashboard.
- Evaluates and reports any quality issues to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Interacts with various departments within the group, insurance companies, and worker’s compensation adjusters.
Requirements What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or GED.
- EMR experience preferred.
- Clinical knowledge.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- Type 45+ words per minute.
- The ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with Providers/Physicians, co-workers, patients, and external customers.
- A valid Driver License.
