About the role

Shape the bright futures of Grand Canyon University students as an adjunct faculty member for the traditional ground campus in the College of Education. The position involves providing program instruction in key areas such as early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, TESOL, and special education.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Special Education or Juris Doctor preferred
  • Masters in Special Education and 2 areas of exceptional expertise required
  • Valid state full special education teaching certification required
  • At least three years teaching students with disabilities grades K-12 required
  • At least six graduate credits in education law, litigation, advocacy, regulations, or policy required
