Responsibilities
- Help create and maintain litigation files, including client documents received.
- Provide records intake and distribution services by receiving, logging in and creating files for deposition transcripts and subpoenaed records.
- Electronically file documents in Document Management system.
- Aid paralegals and attorneys with litigation support needs and serve as a liaison with outside vendors for bulk scanning and production services.
- Scan, review, index and code documents in appropriate litigation support databases.
- Aid paralegals and attorneys with preparation of witness files, assembly of deposition files, trial notebooks and other hearing binders; assist with assembling exhibits in support of motions.
- Prepare subpoenas and coordinate service.
- Schedule depositions.
- Bates labeling.
- Redactions on documents.
Requirements
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Qualifications
- Minimum education required: Associate’s Degree.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal program a plus.
Skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints is essential.
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys, paralegals and staff in person, by email and by telephone to provide information in an appropriate business manner.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Ability to retrieve and distribute volumes, push and pull carts of materials weighing up to 20 pounds and ability to retrieve from and replace objects on shelves up to 8 feet high.
