Responsibilities
- Supervise sibling and/or family visits, either on campus or in the community.
- Assist caseworkers with service referrals, home assessments, and obtaining documentation such as consents and vital records.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to children and families.
- Assist supervisor with department paperwork and scheduling.
- Schedule and accompany residents to DMV and other community appointments.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience with I/DD population preferred.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Strong computer skills preferred.
Relationship With Others
Externally: interacts with NYC Administration for Children’s Services, school systems, and other community-based organizations.
Internally: interfaces with other team members.

Working Conditions
- Requires occasional flexibility in hours to accommodate family visits, service plan reviews, and crisis intervention.
- Agency vehicles are available for driving, subject to DMV check of caseworker’s driving record.
