CASAC Counselor

Full-time, onsite position in Wainscott, NY.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide counseling services in the field of substance abuse treatment. This role involves fostering patient recovery through direct counseling, therapeutic interactions, and supervision of milieu staff to ensure a supportive treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling and develop treatment/recovery plans.
• Facilitate daily activities and community meetings.
• Conduct therapeutic interactions to enhance social, cognitive, and behavioral skills.
• Supervise milieu staff and ensure a supportive treatment environment.
• Deliver psychosocial interventions and motivational interviewing techniques.
• Offer individual, group, and family counseling.
• Maintain comprehensive case records.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing (full CASAC required).
• Minimum two years of experience in behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment.

Pay

$55,000–$59,500 per year.

Standard weekday hours.
