About the role

Join our team as a CASAC Counselor providing essential counseling services in a full-time capacity. This role is based in Long Island, Queens, NY, and requires onsite presence. The position involves working closely with patients to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with patients to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Provide counseling services in a full-time capacity.
• Collaborate with patients to address their behavioral health and substance use disorder needs.
• Implement crisis management strategies and make informed decisions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing
• Minimum two years experience in a behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment program
• Strong ethical practices and professional boundaries
• Effective communication and relationship management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient in crisis management and decision-making

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CASAC certification required
• Minimum two years in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment
• Experience in individual, group, and family counseling
• Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques
• Strong emotional intelligence and empathy
